Helping Our
Best Friends

It's here! Welcome to our new website. It looks similar to what we used to have but navigation is a bit different as is the layout. Please look around and see if everything is where it should be. Email Pastor Bo and let him know if something is amiss. Thanks! pastorbo@pioneerucc.org.

Helping Our
Best Friends

Our newst community outreach effort benefists the animals in our city's shelters. Bring your used blankets, sheets, and towels to church and we'll donate them to the shelters throughout the month of May.

A Different Kind of Bible Study

Join us every Wednesday at 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM for a new kind of Bible Study. We will examine a current event and then create a Bible study around it.  The study is available in person and online. If you are interested in this, please get in touch with Pastor Bo at pastorbo@pioneerucc.org and let him know of your interest. Thanks!

Prayer Ministry

We have a vibrant prayer ministry in our church. Heidi Munoz collects prayer requests, emails them out to our prayer champions, and we pray over all prayer requests each and every Sunday. If you have a prayer request, please send an email to Heidi at prayingpioneers@gmail.com.

Join us this Saturday, June 1, at 12:00 Noon for Dr. Jones' brilliant sanctuary tour, an explanation of the stained glass windows, and listen to a demonstration of our historic organ.

Food Pantry Donations

We collect non-perishable food pantry donations and travel-sized toiletries on Sunday, June 16. We will collect and dedicate them during the service and then take the donated food to the South Sacramento Interfaith Partnership’s Food Closet and the toiletries to Wind Youth Services during the week.

Choir Rehearsal

The Pioneer Choir presents music of a great variety of styles – Gregorian chant, Renaissance polyphony, traditional spirituals, brand-new choral anthems, and more. Rehearsals are at 6:30 on Thursdays in our choir room. New singers are welcome anytime. Music-reading skills are helpful, but not required. The choir will be out for the summer beginning on June 2 and will return on Sunday, September 1.

Bell Choir Rehearsal

Pioneer Bells rehearses on Tuesdays at 6:30 in our choir room, and presents some of the rich repertoire of music for bell choir in worship services – and occasionally in front of the church, serenading Sutter’s Fort Park!

Thank You!

A special thank you goes to Randy T., Pat H., Mary Kay, Cisily and Duncan, Vi, Manny, and Pastor Bo for Clean Up Day. A lot was accomplished due to the helping hands. Thank you!
