We'll then deliver these items during the week. For more information, please contact the church office.

Elliot's Last Day!
Dr. Elliot Jones's last day at Pioneer was a wonderful celebration. He led the choir in the service, and afterward we had a lovely time in Fellowship Hall. Go here to see the pictures on Facebook.

Pastor Bo's Candidating Sunday
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Pastor Bo candidated for the pastor position at Sierra Vista Community Church. He led the worship service, officiated the Communion Service, met with the congregation, and was elected as their new pastor. His duties will begin there on Monday, June 1, 2026. A special fellowship will be held on Sunday, May 31 to honor his time at the Pioneer Congregational Church.
If you missed it, you can watch the service broadcast using this link.

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, the Pioneer Congregational Church Council, with a heavy heart and after much prayer and due diligence, voted to end services at 2700 L Street on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The Council has been working carefully to help our church stay open for as long as possible. Due to financial constraints, we can no longer afford to pay salaries and conduct worship services after May 31. Starting June 1, the building will remain open to allow our tenants to continue renting space. The church building remains for sale, and we are confident the building will eventually sell.
The Pioneer congregation remains intact and will continue to discern its future place of worship.
A letter was sent out to the congregation this week with more details. You can read that letter by downloading it here.

Bible Study

It's a fun time with refreshments and friendship-making. All are welcome to attend, regardless of your knowledge of the Bible.

Women's Breakfast
The Women’s Breakfast will not meet on Saturday, May 9 due to Mother's Day being on Sunday, May 10. Also, the Women's Breakfast needs a new coordinator. If you are interested in leading this longtime Pioneer ministry, please contact Sue-Bryant Still or contact the church office.

Prayer Ministry
We have a vibrant prayer ministry in our church. Heidi Munoz collects prayer requests, emails them out to our prayer champions, and we pray over all prayer requests each and every Sunday. If you have a prayer request, please send an email to Heidi at prayingpioneers@gmail.com.
